Aquatic Development Group (ADG) is proud to announce the soft opening of Bavarian Blast Waterpark, the latest addition to the iconic Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth, Michigan. As the largest indoor waterpark and family fun center in the state, Bavarian Blast spans an impressive 170,000 square feet and features an unparalleled mix of Bavarian charm and thrilling aquatic attractions.
The highly anticipated waterpark soft-launched on March 21, welcoming overnight guests of the Bavarian Inn to experience exclusive access to this one-of-a-kind indoor oasis. Designed and built by ADG, this $90 million expansion a dynamic lineup of attractions, including:
- A wave pool spanning 5,130 square feet and offering adjustable wave heights using a WaveTek wave generation system.
- A 300-foot action river
- Michigan’s first adult-only swim-up bar, featuring a heated indoor-outdoor pool open year-round
- 20 Private cabanas for a relaxing guest experience
- 16 thrilling waterslides
In addition to these aquatic adventures, the Bavarian Blast expansion brings exciting new features to the lodge’s family fun center, including a ropes course, rock climbing walls, mini bowling, arcade games, laser tag, and more.
As the leading force in waterpark design and construction, ADG is honored to have played an instrumental role in bringing Bavarian Blast to life. This project highlights ADG’s capability to build on multiple levels within an indoor environment, enhanced by an OpenAire roof that adds to the dynamic and weather-flexible design.
