VENTURA, CALIFORNIA – November 1, 2024 —AquaStar Pool Products, a leader in
pool equipment safety and innovation, is pleased to announce its partnership with
Every Child a Swimmer and Step Into Swim to develop an essential safety handout on
pool safety and drowning prevention for pool service providers. The goal of the
program is to encourage pool professionals to discuss water safety and drowning
prevention with pool owners.
In launching the partnership, AquaStar donated $10,000 to support Every Child a
Swimmer, a non-profit dedicated to preventing drowning incidents and raising
awareness about water safety. Every Child a Swimmer also supports local learn to
swim programs with scholarships for children from financially disadvantaged families.
AquaStar has agreed to fund the development of a water safety brochure designed for
pool professionals to start conversations with pool owners about the importance of
water safety. The brochure will be made available to pool professionals at no charge. In
addition, AquaStar has committed to ongoing support of Every Child a Swimmer by
donating a portion of proceeds from sales of its Pipeline Filters, Pipeline Pumps and
PureStar Ozone Systems to the organization.
“Pool service professionals can play an important role in educating pool owners about
drowning prevention and pool safety,” said Casey McGovern, Program Manager for
Every Child a Swimmer. “We are so grateful to AquaStar for their support and excited
to work with them to save lives.”
“AquaStar has long been an advocate for drain cover safety for all pools, not just
commercial pools,” said Todd Pieri, President of AquaStar Pool Products. “We
welcome the opportunity to partner with Every Child a Swimmer and Step Into Swim to
get the word out to residential pool pros and help prevent drownings.”
