The swimming pool in the Aquatics Center for the Paris Olympics 2024 will be powered by 90 per cent renewable electricity.
The roof of the Aquatic Centre is covered with more than 4,000 solar panels, which heat the water.
The centre will feature 5,000 seats of which 2,000 can be removed. It is one of the two venues being built for the Games in the Paris area and the most expensive, with a $175 million budget. The site is expected to host events in artistic swimming, diving, water polo and water polo.
