The new warehouse will allow the company to reduce delivery times, thus improving its service and efficiency on the North American continent. In order to better serve the US market and its growth strategy, Spanish tile company WOW Design opened a new distribution and logistics center in Stafford in Texas. This will allow it to supply the southern and central parts of North America.
The new warehouse will join the two existing logistic centers of WOW Design in the USA, the California warehouse in Anaheim, which serves the west coast and the Virginia warehouse (in Lorton), the company’s headquarters, which supplies the eastern areas.
WOW Design’s three distribution centers allow it to supply the entire US market. The strategy has increased its storage capacity, reduced delivery times, and improved its logistics service. This ensures greater operational efficiency.
The new, extensive facilities are 12,000 square feet in size. This is equivalent to 1,200m2. The number of products and their availability will increase, which in turn, will guarantee a smoother service. Stock outages can also be avoided and customer service improved.
The warehouse features seven levels of storage, maximizing the space available and increasing the storage and operational capacity for the company. The warehouse is equipped with new technology for loading and unloading, with 24 platforms of which 12 are dock levelers. This allows for faster and more flexible loading and dumping operations.
The center has an office and showroom on the second floor, which provides clients with a more immersive experience. The warehouse has the latest inventory management technology. It uses RF devices, tablets, and scanners to ensure efficient, accurate stock management.
David Roman is the CEO of WOW Design’s US division.
