Masquespacio is a Spanish agency that recently redesigned one of the storefronts in Milan of an Italian hamburger chain named “Bun”, to mimic the feel and look of a swimming-pool.
The guests will be greeted with contrasting shades of pink and purple, along with subtle touches in gold and cream, as they enter the establishment. The vibrant colors contrast sharply with the dull exterior.
The restaurant’s interior is decorated with square-shaped floor tiles. The walls are designed to both reflect the surrounding and create a ripple effect, similar to waves. A decorative pool ladder is hung on one side. The stools and benches have golden chair legs. They are comfortable for patrons to enjoy a burger with fries, shake, and other items.
The Masquespacio team said in a DesignBoom statement that the result was a place where people could discover, with a mirrored-effect creating the sensation of being surrounded waves of water. The dry plants added a unique touch to the space, which matched the mature look of the project.
Masquespacio, which completed this project two years ago, has designed six interiors of Bun restaurants, resulting in innovative and fresh restaurants that continue to be recognized internationally by various media channels.
