Matt Griffiths, the outgoing chair of The Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW has stepped down to make way for Marco Blanco, the incoming chairman.
Griffiths says that ARI has weathered covid’s storm and is now more aware of its place in the aquatics industry.
“I am very proud of the work I have done during my tenure with ARI. The organisation has re-established a solid foundation on which to build an expanded support offering for its members.”
Blanco is a founder, principal attorney, and CEO at Child Safeguard. He was appointed to the ARI Board in 2020, and has actively participated in ARI’s governance, advocacy and child safety groups. He represented the NSW Government’s covid taskforce and advocated for the successful reopening the aquatics sector in NSW during lockdowns.
SPLASH first reported Marco Blanco as new chair of ARI NSW Magazine.
