Claffey Pools Funds Drowning Prevention through Partnership with Step Into Swimming

Southlake – Claffey Pools is a luxury pool and spa builder based in North Texas. The company has announced their third annual campaign to promote safe swimming education. The company is committed to supporting the community, and this continued financial support by Claffey pools helps Step Into Swim support the next generation of swimmers through learn-to -swim programs.

Claffey Pools will participate in the Round Up with Rowdy program this year. This new campaign allows companies that sell hot tubs, spas, or pools to raise money at point of sale. The Round Up with Rowdy campaign helps Step Into Swim extend its reach, build industry integrity and engagement and grow support across the nation for creating more swimmers.

The Round Up With Rowdy campaign was created in honor of Olympic Gold Medalist Rowdy gaines. Gaines is the PHTA Vice-President for Partnerships and Development and spearheads Step Into Swim. Gaines says, “I’m grateful to Claffey Pools and their generosity in supporting Step Into Swim.” Our donors and sponsors are driving forces behind the success this program. Claffey Pools’ commitment to Step Into Swim enables us to save lives, promote swimming benefits, and provide an educational resource on water safety to communities that need it.

Claffey Pools Round Up with Rowdy includes rounding each new pool sold and each remodel to the nearest $100. Retail rings, service tickets, and maintenance rings are also rounded to the nearest $1. Together with the employee and vendor pledges, this roundup campaign will result in an excess of $30,000 in donations.

There is no better way of giving back to the pool and spa industry than by donating to an organization whose sole mission is to stop drowning, says Charlie Claffey – President of Claffey Pools & Chair of PHTA’s Board of Directors. “The enthusiasm of our team, the appreciation from our clients, and the unity created through a company-wide initiative is really powerful.”

Learning to swim with a qualified instructor reduces drowning risk by 88 percent [1]. This is crucial to keep children safe in the water. Claffey Pools supports Step Into Swim in its mission to prevent drowning by providing free swimming lessons, educational resources and other tools that help children feel confident around the water.

Step Into Swim, along with its supporters, believes that teaching children to swim and advocating safe swimming practices are vital for the safety and health of our youngest swimmers. Step Into Swim’s growing donor list has enabled it to give more than 300,000.000 swim lessons through YMCAs and Jewish Community Centers. Boys and Girls Clubs and more. Donor contributions are the only source of funding for this program. All donations go to learn-to swim programs and educational initiatives. To learn more, visit www.StepIntoSwim.org.
