January 17, 2023. ARLINGTON (Virginia) – Activations ( covers.com), North America’s largest international tile- and stone conference and exhibition, has announced a wide range of returning and new activations for Coverings 2023. The event will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, April 18-21, 2023. The Coverings 2023 event will feature four days of action packed tile displays, valuable connections, and state-of the-art products and techniques for both the tile and stone and design industries.

Coverings 2023 attendees will have the opportunity to tour more than 400,000 feet of exhibit space, including numerous pavilions featuring leading global tile associations and manufacturers. Expostors from over 30 countries will be exhibiting the most desirable tile, stone, tools and machinery at Coverings 2023. More than 20,000 industry professionals will have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors and explore new products at the top-of-the-line tile and stone market in North America.

Jennifer Hoff, CEO, Taffy Event Strategies, an event management company for Coverings, stated that Coverings will expand its 2023 show to offer more special programs, resources, and experiential activations. Show floor tours, new, stimulating programming, partnerships, live installations at the Coverings Lounge and growth opportunities, programs and networking opportunities, as well as programs for fabricators and specifiers will all contribute to a customized Coverings experience for retailers, fabricators and fabricators as well for builders and other segments of the trade.

This year’s show’s Coverings Lounge will be centrally located. It will offer attendees a comfortable place to network, gain professional knowledge and hear from industry leaders. Happy hours with valuable prizes will also be held. The Coverings Lounge will focus on the four core tenets of Coverings2023 – “Health & Wellness,” Sustainability,” Outdoor Spaces, and “Timeless Luxury.” Every tenet of Coverings 2023 will be demonstrated live, displaying relevant market trends, as well as numerous hands-on activities. This will provide showgoers with unique, memorable experiences that highlight all the many benefits and uses for tile and stone.

Gianna Vallefuoco, an artist, National Tile Contractors Association Five Star Contractor (NTCA), and mindfulness teacher at Vallefuoco Contractors, LLC, will promote the “Health & Wellness tenet in the Coverings Lounge. These workshops are suitable for everyone, meditators or not. They will teach participants how to deal with stress at work, how to deescalate heated moments, and how to have a growth-oriented mindset to overcome obstacles.

The Coverings 2023 “Sustainability” theme will be highlighted in part by the return to the Sustainability Wall. This wall will be displayed in the Coverings Lounge in order to highlight the eco-friendly properties of ceramic tiles. To educate attendees about the many sustainable benefits of ceramic tiles and the advantages that tile offers over other surfaces, this popular show floor feature will have an updated edition from the Coverings 2022 issue.

D.W. Sanders Tile & Stone Contacting and Coverings will collaborate to highlight the “Outdoor Spaces” tenet of the Coverings Lounge. Woody Sanders and his team will demonstrate a raised pedestal system. They will disassemble and rebuild it every day so that attendees can learn more about the system. Atlas Concorde donated the pavers for this project.

Through the Coverings Lounge, the “Outdoor Spaces” theme will be further highlighted through an outdoor seating area. This space features biophilia walls and comfortable chairs that provide a relaxed, conversational environment for networking. It also highlights the seamless integration of tile in outdoor settings with plant material and outdoor furniture.

In the Coverings Lounge, the “Timeless Luxury tenet” will be displayed to show how tile is a premium product with exceptional quality and that provides both symbolic and experiential value. Tile Council of North America, Tile of Spain and Ceramics of Italia will exhibit beautiful and luxurious tiles installations. These will be available for the happy hour drinks and will be served as wine and beer bars. To showcase this important market trend, the Coverings Lounge will feature photographs of luxurious projects.

The Coverings Lounge will host the 2023 Rock Star Awards Ceremony & Reception on April 18, from 4-5 p.m.

Happy Hours will be back as a highly-anticipated favourite among showgoers at this event. The Coverings Lounge will host the beloved Coverings feature, which will take place on April 18, 19, and 20, at 4 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy cold drinks and valuable giveaways provided by NTCA member companies. This will allow them to socialize and close their show days.

The Coverings Lounge will feature ” Wally, the Gator“, a mosaic tile project featuring a Florida gator-themed mosaic tile. It was created by Lee Callewaert from Dragonfly Tile and Stone Works and Joshua Nordstrom from Tierra Tile. This stunning tile art was live streamed at Coverings 2021. It will be making its first appearance in Orlando, Florida for Coverings 2030.

The Distributor Lounge sponsored by the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, is a new addition to Coverings 2023. The new Coverings feature will offer a place for distributors of flooring, tile, and stone to gather near the show floor. The lounge is located in the South Hall at the top, in room S222 (also known as the Destination Lounge). Light refreshments and snacks are served.

The Art Tile Village will also be on the Coverings 2023 Show Floor. The Art Tile Village will be located in the TCNA Pavilion next to the Coverings Lounge. It will feature aesthetically pleasing tile art created by regional and local tile experts. This area will be dedicated to artisans who preserve old-world traditions by creating handmade art and specialty tile.

The Art Tile Village offers unique accents and tiles that will give your project an individual and distinctive touch. The area will feature interactive demonstrations on pre-mounting, forming, decorating/glazing and hand painting.

Many Coverings attendees have praised the Podcast Studio as a great feature for Coverings 2023. The South Hall Lobby will host the studio.
