The Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) has announced that its Aquatic Venue Public Health Inspector (AVPHI) Course is now available online for the first time. Previously offered only in person at industry conferences, the course is now accessible from anywhere in a live, interactive format.
The next session will be held Nov. 13 at 8:30 a.m. CST and led by CMAHC Technical Director Dewey Case. The eight-hour, instructor-led training equips public health and aquatics professionals with the knowledge and confidence to assess aquatic facilities using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC).
Participants will engage in real-world case studies, small-group discussions, and practical exercises designed to strengthen their ability to inspect, regulate, and manage aquatic venues safely and consistently. Upon completion, attendees will earn a CMAHC-backed certification.
The course is designed for:
- Public health inspectors
- Environmental health and regulatory professionals
- Aquatics operators and safety leaders
