A Maple Ridge resident, who had initially won the right to keep an inflatable hot tub on the patio of their home, has now been ordered to take it down.
According to a report by CityNews, the resident had set up the hot tub on the patio of their property back in 2021.While they had initially won the case to have the hot tub on their property, two months later, the strata passed a bylaw specifically prohibiting hot tubs and spas on patios—leading to the resident being fined.
Per the report, after much back and forth, the resident is currently not entitled to use the spa on their patio. The decision says the resident will not be charged with dispute-related expenses.
