2024 AQUA 100 Winner: Premier Pools & Spas Atlanta South & East

Bob and Gayle Gordon opened Premier
Pools & Spas Atlanta South in 2019. Then, when
the couple noticed rapid growth, they decided
to expand, opening the Atlanta East office. “Our
single location with one salesman office has
now evolved to a two-location office with 12 staff
members,” says Preston Smith, sales manager for
Premier Pools & Spas Atlanta South.

Before Premier Pools & Spas, the Gordons
owned a landscaping business for 25 years. Bob is a
retired firefighter, having worked for Clayton County
Fire Department for 28 years, while Gayle is a retired
teacher from Eagles Landing Christian Academy.
Now, in their current role, the couple takes great
pride in their work as pool builders, and they love
delivering their clients the pool of their dreams.

““We are a symbol
of excellence,
transforming
ordinary spaces
into extraordinary
havens of
relaxation and
beauty.”
—Bob Gordon,
Owner

The company has stayed grounded in its core
belief: to have integrity, a strong work ethic, and
be a team player. “We also take accountability and
always strive to present quality work that meets
our customers’ standards,” says Stephen Hawk,
sales manager for Premier Pools & Spas Atlanta
East.

Premier Pools & Spas has certainly been
successful in that mission, as its team of inground
pool builders — the company builds custom
gunite, fiberglass and vinyl swimming pools
as well as pool remodels — has garnered rave
reviews. “Not only did [they] do an excellent job
installing my pool and using top-notch equipment,
but even three years later, I can call them and
ask questions — and they always answer them,”
writes one customer. “[Their] thoughtfulness and
professionalism was reassuring to us. The whole
team exceeded our expectations. When we were
told something was going to happen, it happened.
The jobsite was kept clean, and the pool turned
out great,” states another.

Premier Pools & Spas maintains a strong
social media presence with help from an in-house
specialist, Julia. “She goes to each property to take
pictures of completed pools,” says Bob, “and then
will post them to our channels.” With Premier
Pools & Spas being a franchise, the company’s
headquarters also helps to keep up with social
posts by providing engaging content.

As for its marketing strategy, the company has
had a lot of success with sending postcards. “The
postcards were sent to newer territories that did
not have as much online marketing,” says Jeremy
Womack, sales manager. “We also get referred to
new clients from previous ones frequently. These
tend to hold a special place for us, because we
love hearing the quality work we completed shows,
and that it leads to new clients reaching out to us.”

Premier Pools & Spas hopes to expand its
territory, which would include more staff for the
sales team, office personnel and the construction
team, all of whom will uphold the company’s
high standards. “We believe a pool is more than
a place to swim — it’s a place where lifelong
memories are made,” says Bob and Gayle. “We
love the opportunity to help our customers make
their dreams a reality.”
