10 Halloween Activities to Make Your Pool Splendid


Your customers might be interested in a Halloween-themed swimming pool. Maybe you could throw a pool party. Here are 10 ideas for homeowners to make their Halloween pool more fun. Ghost

Supplies:Clear/translucent water bottles

Rules Fill a plastic water bottle and toss it in the pool. Invite guests to search for it as quickly as possible.

Games

Dark Sea Treasure Hunt

Supplies: Coins, pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, etc.

Rules Grab a few coins and toss them into the pool. Next, let players jump in to collect the coins. The winner is the player who collects more (in value or quantity) of each item.

Zombies

Zombies and Survivors

RulesDesignate one swimmer to be the first Zombie and have all the other players line up at the end of the pool for Survivors. Designate a witness to call out the “Survivors”. The team must swim to the opposite side of the pool when they are called. Only survivors can be converted into Zombie(s) while they are above water. Once all players have been converted into Zombies, the game is over.

Candy Corn

Candy Corn Ring Toss

Supplies:Traffic cones and circular glow sticks

Rules Place a traffic cone or several traffic cones in the middle pool. They will float! Swimmers should throw glow sticks (or circular glow sticks) at the cones. The goal is for one of the rings (or glow sticks) to land on a cone (candy corn). The winner is the guest who does it first or most often.

Floats

Floating Musical Chairs

Supplies: Swimming Pool Floats

Rules Start the game by placing a few floaties in central part of the pool. Make sure that there are no more than the number of people participating. Everyone must swim to the edge of the pool once the Halloween music stops. Swimmers must locate a pool float after the music has stopped. The person who doesn’t is eliminated from the round. Continue playing until there is only one player left in a floating.

Pumpkins

Push a Pumpkin

Supplies: Mini pumpkins, Vaseline

Rules All players should line up with a mini pumpkin at one end. (For an added challenge, slather all pumpkins in Vaseline before you start the game. The objective of the came is for the pumpkin to be pushed across the pool using only their hands. The pumpkin and player who reach the other side first wins.

Apples

Bobbing for Apples

Products:Apples

Rules Depending on the number of people participating, place the appropriate amount of apples into the pool. Players should jump in the pool when a witness shouts “Go!” and grab an apple with their only mouths. The winner is the player who returns to the pool with an apple in his mouth.

Food

Taste of Terror

Supplies: Halloween food/dishes: (1) Frankenstein kiwis; (2) Mummy cake pops; (3) Ghost banana popsicles; (4) Monster apple bites; (5) etc.

Make a list of disgusting or bizarre Halloween foods. Blindfold your guests and ask them to guess the dish. For an added challenge, they can also guess the shape of the monster that the dish is made from. The fastest person to correctly guess the monster and food wins.

Cauldron of Mystery

Supplies:Caldron and Trinkets (plastic fish worms. gummy eyeballs. vampire teeth. plastic spiders. etc.

Rules:Set up a cauldron containing gross/weird objects for guests to dip their fingers into to guess what object they touched. The winner is the person who correctly guesses all objects within a given time limit (say, 30 seconds).
